Ken Brown, Managing Director
Ken Brown was educated at Fettes, and Dundee University where he gained an MA in Philosophy and Jurisprudence. He was a Director of Panmure Gordon & Co, where he worked from 1972 – 1989. In 1989 he founded Sutherlands Limited, an agency stockbroker based in Edinburgh, where he spearheaded the bond research department. He formed Sutherlands Edinburgh in 2006. He owns Ledlanet Estate, a 1,700 acre extensive farming operation and is the largest breeder of highland cattle in Europe. He has held roles as Commercial Director of the Royal Highland Agricultural Society of Scotland (2001 – 2004) and President of the Highland Cattle Society (2004 – 2006)

John Wright, Non-Executive Director
John Wright is a career Commercial Banker with a strong international background. His career has spanned 43 years and included assignments in the UK, India, Sri Lanka, West Africa, Canada, Hong Kong and the United States. He was Chief Executive of Oman International Bank for 7½ years and thereafter Chief Executive of the Northern and National Irish Banks in Ireland for 5 years. He had a brief spell as Chief Executive of the Gulf Bank in Kuwait, followed finally by 3 years as Chief Executive of Clydesdale & Yorkshire Banks prior to retirement. He now acts as Non- Executive Director with many roles, including Directorships of banks in Oman, London and Bermuda. He recently retired from the Board of the UK Government ECGD (Export Credit Guarantee Department) after six years service. He holds Chairmanships of companies in Glasgow and Edinburgh and is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Arab Financial Forum and the Glasgow University School of Business.
